Todo something again in order to allow learners to understand and remember it more completely. For example, learners can consolidate a grammar point by doing extra practice.
When a learner, often guided by the teacher, looks again at language that has already been taught in order to remember this languagebetter. Teachers may choose to review vocabulary or grammatical structures in the classroom in order to help learners consolidatethe language or to preparefor a test.
1. In British English usage revise means to study again something you have learned, to prepare for an exam. For example, a teacher might advise learners to revise the vocabulary they have learned before a weekly test. Americans use review for this. 2. Revise also means to look again at a piece of writingto correct it or improve it. For example, teachers encourage learners to revise their homework before handing it in.
Collecting, recording and interpreting information, often on a computer or similar electronic device.
An approachto learning which encourages the development of learning skills such as observing, gathering data and investigating. In CLIL, learners are involved in problem-based or task-based learning across the curriculum.
When a learner can set his/her own aims and organise his/her own study, they are autonomous and independent. Many activities in coursebooks help learners to be more independent by encouraging them to find out more about things in the book and helping them to organise their learning, such as by suggesting they keep vocabulary lists
These skills can be artistic, cultural, linguistic, mathematical, scientific, social, interpersonal and intrapersonal. They involve knowing about different ways to learn and knowing how to develop learner autonomy. They can be applied across the curriculum.
